Prompt #4: Write about my closest friends.
Over the years, I have lost many friends. Over the years, I have gained friends. However, three of my closest friends are very important to me. Without these three, I would be so lost. They are my rocks.
First one in my mom. She has been there with me through everything. The bad, the good, and all the in-between. In all of my twenty-five years, she has never let me down. She has always loved me unconditionally, always there when I fall. She has helped me pick back up the pieces of my broken heart and my broken life. I love her everything I have.
The second one is my boyfriend. He is the best father I could ever ask for my son. He is the one who knows all my secrets. Right down to the most embarrassing detail about me. I have known him for about 10 years. He has seen me at my worst and at my best, and he still loves me anyway. I am forever thankful for him.
The third one is my aunt. I have many aunts, all of whom I love dearly, but this one sticks out because of her out-going, eclectic personality and her ability to closely relate to the person I was and the person I have become. In many ways, we are so similar, almost like she could have been my sister. She knows all of my mistakes and has never judged me for anything. Over the years, our relationship has grown stronger and it will continue to grow. We may be over 30 years apart, but age has never stopped us from being friends. I am proud to call her family, as well as one of my best friends.
